Accounts
Kinds, live balances, private accounts, and editing.
Accounts is the full list of balances in the workspace, grouped by category, with the tools to keep them accurate.
Kinds
Every account has a kind beyond its category: checking, savings, brokerage, 401(k), Roth IRA, HSA, mortgage, credit card, and so on. Linked accounts get a kind from the bank's account subtype; manual accounts get one from the form. Kinds feed the Health checks, for example to tell retirement money from a taxable brokerage, or a card balance from a mortgage.
If a linked account arrived without a kind, Health's Data quality check will ask you to set one. Open the account and choose from the list.

A Freshness label on each linked balance says when it was last synced. After a day without a sync the label turns amber and the connection is worth checking; see Link a bank.
Investment holdings
Where the bank provides holdings, Moola stores each position and reprices it with market quotes every five minutes while the app is open. The account's balance is the sum of its priced holdings plus any cash in the account. Holdings without a public quote keep the bank's last reported value.
Homes
Homes added by address carry their public-record details and the latest automated value estimate with a range. Open the home to see the comparable sales behind the estimate, switch to a value of your own, or go back to automatic tracking. See Add accounts.
Private accounts
Any account, manual or linked, can be marked private when editing it. A private account, its balance history, its transactions, and activity about it stay in your personal workspace and never reach the family workspace. Your personal totals are unaffected.
Removing an account
Removing a manual account deletes its history. To remove a linked account, disconnect the institution in Settings → Bank connections; that removes every account from that connection and revokes Moola's access at Plaid.
