Using Moola
Net worth
Series, periods, composition, and the per-account table.
The Net worth page is the long view: how each part of your wealth has changed over time, and which accounts drove it.
Series
Choose up to four series to draw at once:
- Net worth — assets minus liabilities
- Assets — everything you own
- Liquid — cash plus investments you could sell
- Cash, Investments, Property — each asset category on its own
- Liabilities — everything you owe
Each series has a fixed colour, so turning one off and on again never repaints the others. If four are already on, turn one off to add another.
Periods
The same periods as Overview: intraday windows (1H, 1D, 1W) drawn from five-minute balance points, and longer ones (This month through All) drawn from daily closing balances. Hover or touch the chart to read exact values at a point in time.
Composition
Below the chart, a composition bar shows how assets are split at the end of the period, with the change in each slice over the period.
Per-account table
Every account in the workspace, with:
- its current balance,
- a sparkline over the selected period,
- the change over the period in money and percent.
Sort by any column. Filter by category (cash, investments, property, liabilities), by account, and in a family workspace by member. Click an account to open it.
How history is kept
| Store | Granularity | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Daily snapshots | One closing balance per account per day, written whenever a balance is saved or synced | As long as the account exists |
| Five-minute points | A point each time a save or sync sees a balance move | 90 days |
Because history is written from real balance changes, the chart starts the day you add an account. Moola does not back-fill history it never saw. Manual accounts gain a point each time you update them; linked accounts gain points from every sync.
