Using Moola
Overview
The headline figure, allocation, activity, and milestones.
Overview is the first page you see. It answers three questions: what are you worth, how is that moving, and where does it sit.
The headline figure
The large number is your net worth: everything you own minus everything you owe, across every account in the workspace. Beside it is the change over the selected period, shown as a sign-coloured delta. Green means up, rose means down; Moola never uses both at once for the same thing.
Pick a period from the control above the chart:
| Period | Drawn from |
|---|---|
| 1H, 1D, 1W | Five-minute balance points, so intraday moves show as they happen |
| This month, Last month, 30D, 90D, YTD, 12M, All | Daily closing balances |
The comparison label under the delta says what the number is being measured against, for example "vs the month before" or "vs the same stretch last year".
Where your assets sit
An allocation bar splits your assets into cash, investments, and property, with liabilities shown against them. The same colours are used for those categories everywhere in Moola, so a colour you learn here means the same thing on the Net worth page.
Activity
Recent changes to the workspace: balances that moved, accounts added, connections refreshed, goals updated. In a family workspace, each entry is tagged with the member it belongs to.
Next milestone
The milestone you set in Goals shows here with progress toward it. Once you pass it, set the next one.
Live balances
A small pulsing dot next to a figure means it is being kept live: while the app is open, linked balances refresh every five minutes and investment holdings are repriced with market quotes. The dot rests after a few beats; the number keeps updating.
